A round consists of 12 questions. Each team had 20 seconds to confer and answer each question. A question answered incorrectly is passed across to the other team who then had 10 seconds to answer. Our team was fierce and competitive and in two rounds did not answer a question incorrectly. After 15 rounds of battle we came out as runners up losing by 2 points. Although we were disappointed we were so proud of our achievements.
Congratulations to the hosting team Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School.
Many thanks to our courageous and dedicated team : Angela Hu, Claire Baek, Filip Zachrisson, Jason So, Luke Baxter, Nick Widmer, Chloe Hubrabielle-Claverie, Amaelie Zachrisson,
Lexi Jamieson-Jones, Shaurya Singhal, Krishna DePree and Austin See.
These students have read the BoB 2019 books in their own time, learned the correct pronunciation of author and title of all 20 books and practised every Monday at lunchtime.
Also many thanks to Ms Gretchen Abasolo who has co facilitated BoB with me again this year.
We would really like to acknowledge Ms Gretchen's commitment and generosity to BoB.
Unfortunately we need to farewell three of our members Luke, Filip and Jason.
As the BoB competition for years 6-8, they will no longer be eligible. They have been such wonderful participants and leaders, bringing wit and humour to our Monday sessions.
We hope that the rest of the team continues in the new year and we look forward to recruiting from the fifth grade cohort! WE look forward to the announcement of the 2020 BoB books in the near future!
